Pool side sun rooms simulate value and provide comfort for their occupants. Naturally cooled by 10 operable PELLA windows and lite by natural sunlight with 3 staggered rooftop skylights this Lavarock, PA sun room does just that! In 1999, we were ask to come up with a design and re-build the sun room. The sun room features custom built column post and trim, a radon slate floor, and 6" knotty pine tongue and groove planks on the ceiling and two 52" surface mounted ceiling fans.Our client primarily requested simple but elegant design and ease of maintenance.
We delivered elegance, ease of maintenance, security and value. All of the original finish materials were removed. What remained was the structure which we beefed up. The roof decking which was in pretty good sharp did not have to be removed. Each column post was removed and custom rebuilt in place one by one. Each window opening was measured and laid out perfectly centering the front 8 operable windows on a center fixed pane window. Each window bank was trimmed with an exact 1/2" space between each window for finish trim. 25 year shingles and non- operable doom skylights.
